The Ron Brown Monarchs basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Bell Griffins to 47 in the Monarchs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Monarchs now sport a 4-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cardozo for a DCSAA A contest on Friday, February 3.

The Griffins (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Roosevelt (Washington, DC). The Roughriders enter the DCSAA AA contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Roosevelt was defeated by Banneker (Washington, DC), 79-73, in a league contest.
