Virginia High School Basketball - Auburn can't hold off George Wythe

The George Wythe Maroons basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Auburn Eagles to 52 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Maroons now sport a 23-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parry McCluer for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 21. George Wythe will battle a Fighting Blues team coming off a 68-56 league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Fighting Blues record now stands at 17-9.
The Eagles (20-8) will now prepare for their contest against Covington (Covington, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 12-9 record.
