Alexander Lundsberg of
Canyon (Anaheim) leads California high school football in passing yards with 1,510 yards in four games. The junior signal caller has piled up over 300 yards in each game, completing over 70 percent of his attempts.
Lundsberg has thrown 18 touchdown passes without an interception while helping the Comanches go 2-2.
The state's top runners are
Wes Burford of
Oakdale and
Erick Stubbs of
Bell with 802 yards. Burford averages 9.1 yards per carry and has gone over 240 yards twice. Stubbs is coming off a five-touchdown week and averages 7.3 yards per carry.
The state's leading receiver is
Savion Taylor of
Pacifica (Oxnard), who has 672 yards on 45 catches for the 3-1 Tritons. The 6-foot senior has gone over 150 yards in three games, including a 326-yard performance to open the season against West Ranch (Valencia) on Aug. 23.
