The Erwin Warriors basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs to 58 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Warriors now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host A.C. Reynolds for a 3A/4A Conference 53 contest on Friday, January 6. Erwin will battle a Rockets team coming off a 66-56 league win over Asheville (Asheville, NC). The Rockets record now stands at 6-8.
