Fans at Friday's league challenge between the La Crescent Lancers (La Crescent, MN) and the visiting St. Charles Fighting Saints (St. Charles, MN), saw La Crescent's basketball squad wallop St. Charles by a tally of 79-39.

With the victory, La Crescent improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN) to confront the Bulldogs in a AA Section 1 challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-3.

Next up, the Fighting Saints confront the Lourdes Eagles (Rochester, MN) in a AA Section 1 challenge, on Monday, January 9. St. Charles will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 73-48 league win over Dover-Eyota (Eyota, MN).
