In Saturday's league contest, the visiting North Country Union Falcons basketball team scored a close 37-34 triumph over the Lamoille Lancers.

The Falcons (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT). The Vikings come into the Capital challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Lyndon Institute was tipped by Lamoille (Hyde Park, VT), 56-15, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lancers encounter the Spaulding Crimson Tide (Barre, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Lamoille will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record.
