North Carolina High School Basketball - North Mecklenburg crushes West Charlotte

January 19, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28216

North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC), 88-59 in a league bout.

With the win, North Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Hough (Cornelius, NC) to play the Huskies in a 3A/4A Queen City bout on Friday, January 26. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Hough lost 76-47 in their recent league bout against Hopewell (Huntersville, NC)

Next up, the Lions play the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. West Charlotte will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 84-81 league loss to South Point (Belmont, NC).
