The West Mecklenburg Hawks basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was toppled 75-59 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hough for a 3A/4A Queen City battle on Tuesday, January 30. Chambers will confront a Huskies team coming off a 88-53 league loss to North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 4-13.

The Hawks (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Lions come into the 3A/4A Queen City battle with a 8-11 record. In their last battle, West Charlotte was toppled by Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC), 64-61, in a league battle.
