School Without Walls Penguins (Washington, DC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Ron Brown Monarchs (Washington, DC), 59-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, School Without Walls upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Penguins travel to Washington International (Washington, DC) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 11-2. Washington International won 36-34 in their recent league bout against Don Bosco Cristo Rey (Takoma Park, MD)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Eastern Ramblers (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA A bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Ron Brown will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Ramblers come into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 80-41 league loss to Cardozo (Washington, DC).
