Texas High School Softball - Americas can't get by Parkland

The Parkland Matadors edged the visiting Americas Trail Blazers softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Matadors meet the Bel Air Highlanders (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Parkland will attempt to upgrade on its 18-14 season record. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a 6-25 record after their 4-1 league win over Horizon (El Paso, TX).

The Trail Blazers (19-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Hanks (El Paso, TX). The Knights enter the 5A Region I District 2 challenge with a 15-13 record. In their last challenge, Hanks was nudged by El Dorado (El Paso, TX), 8-3, in a league challenge.
