In Saturday's non-league match, the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) volleyball team knocked off the host Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), by a margin of 2-0.

The Hilltoppers now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Ashbrook for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 13. R-S Central will clash with a Greenwave team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave record now stands at 1-4.
