Illinois High School Basketball - Cary-Grove fells Central

January 10, 2024: Burlington, IL 60109

Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Central Rockets (Burlington, IL), 47-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Cary-Grove upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Trojans travel to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Vernon Hills won 43-28 in their recent league bout against Maine West (Des Plaines, IL)

Next up, the Rockets play the Woodstock North Thunder (Woodstock, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 7-8 record after their 54-45 league loss to Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL).
