Illinois High School Basketball - Cary-Grove nips Jacobs
December 8, 2023: Cary, IL 60013 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL) and the visiting Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL), saw Cary-Grove's basketball squad hold off Jacobs by a tally of 57-52.
With the victory, Cary-Grove improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Elk Grove (Elk Grove Village, IL) to play the Grenadiers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 9. The Grenadiers come into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Elk Grove lost 51-44 in their recent league challenge against Wheeling (Wheeling, IL)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL) in a Fox Valley challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. Jacobs will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Whip-Purs come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 54-32 non-league loss to New Trier (Winnetka, IL).
