The Howard Lions basketball team scored 79 points and limited the host River Hill Hawks to 57 in the Lions league triumph on Monday.

The Lions now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Westminster for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Howard will confront a Owls team coming off a 52-41 league loss to Century (Sykesville, MD). The Owls record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, River Hill falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Glenelg (Glenelg, MD) to confront the Gladiators in a Howard County game on Wednesday, January 15.
