The King & Queen Central Royal Tigers (King & Queen Court House, VA) basketball edged the visiting Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA), 48-41 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Royal Tigers now possess a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to West Point for a Tidewater bout on Thursday, January 16. King & Queen Central will play a Pointers team coming off a 36-18 league win over Charles City (Charles City, VA). The Pointers record now stands at 6-2.
