North Carolina High School Basketball - Highland Tech fells Cherryville

January 16, 2024: Cherryville, NC 28021

Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC), 56-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Highland Tech upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Rams travel to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont bout on Friday, January 19. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Bessemer City won 43-29 in their recent league bout against Burns (Lawndale, NC)

Next up, the Ironmen play the NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 18. Cherryville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 89-15 league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC).
