In Monday's league contest, the visiting Mica Mountain Thunderbolts basketball team scored a good 52-44 triumph over the Sahuaro Cougars.

The Thunderbolts (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Walden Grove (Sahuarita, AZ). The Red Wolves go into the 4A Kino contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Walden Grove was topped by Sahuaro (Tucson, AZ), 61-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ) in a 4A Kino contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Sahuaro will attempt to better on its 17-6 season record. The Nighthawks go into the contest with a 9-10 record after their 62-28 league loss to Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ).
