January 22, 2024: McDermott, OH 45652 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the South Gallia Rebels (Crown City, OH) and the host Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH), saw South Gallia's basketball squad wallop Northwest by a tally of 76-23.
With the victory, South Gallia improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Rebels host Eastern (Beaver, OH) to play the Eagles in a Southern Ohio II challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-12. Eastern lost 45-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Zane Trace (Chillicothe, OH)
Next up, the Mohawks play the Symmes Valley Vikings (Willow Wood, OH) in a Southern Ohio II challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 49-9 league win over Oak Hill (Oak Hill, OH).
