The Grimsley Whirlies basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Southwest Guilford Cowboys to 48 in the Whirlies league triumph on Thursday.

The Whirlies now have a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Southeast Guilford for a 4A Metro game on Friday, January 24. Grimsley will confront a Falcons team coming off a 58-45 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 11-5.

With the loss, Southwest Guilford falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Page (Greensboro, NC) to confront the Pirates in a 4A Metro game on Friday, January 24. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 6-10. Page lost 76-50 in their recent league game against Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC)
