The Grimsley Whirlies basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Southwest Guilford Cowboys to 49 in the Whirlies league triumph on Wednesday.

The Whirlies now have a 15-5 record. They play next when they travel to Northern Guilford for a 4A Metro game on Friday, February 14. Grimsley will confront a Nighthawks team coming off a 52-47 league loss to Page (Greensboro, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, Southwest Guilford falls to 12-9 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to confront the Vikings in a 4A Metro game on Friday, February 14. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 15-8. Northwest Guilford won 41-29 in their recent league game against Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC)
