In Tuesday's league outing, the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC), by a margin of 49-34.

The Spartans (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the 4A Conference 58 outing with a 14-4 record. In their last outing, Marvin Ridge thwarted Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 70-64, in a league outing.
