The Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) basketball felled the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 67-47 in Monday's non-league test.

The Spartans (15-10) will now prepare for their test against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers go into the non-league test with a 17-7 record. In their last test, Cuthbertson thwarted Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 64-36, in a league test.
