The Weddington Warriors tipped the host Porter Ridge Pirates basketball team by a final score of 40-33 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Warriors face the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a 4A Conference 58 game, on Wednesday, February 9. Weddington will attempt to move on its 6-14 season record. The Mavericks enter the game with a 18-4 record after their 72-33 league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC).

With the defeat, Porter Ridge moves to 6-17 on the year. The Pirates travel to Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to face the Spartans in a 4A Conference 58 game on Friday, February 11. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 13-9.
