North Carolina High School Basketball - Forest Hills thwarts Porter Ridge

January 29, 2022: Marshville, NC 28103

The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 58-41 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Yellow Jackets (14-5) will now prepare for their test against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts go into the 2A/3A Conference 44 test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, West Stanly notched a victory over Union Academy (Monroe, NC), 41-22, in a non-league test.

The Pirates now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Marvin Ridge for a 4A Conference 58 test on Tuesday, February 1. Porter Ridge will encounter a Mavericks squad coming off a 76-45 league win over Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Mavericks record now stands at 15-4.
