North Carolina High School Basketball - Monroe nips Sun Valley

December 10, 2021: Monroe, NC 28112

Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), 48-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Monroe upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to Weddington (Matthews, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 14. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Weddington lost 74-29 in their recent non-league bout against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 14. Sun Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 69-12 non-league loss to North Davidson (Lexington, NC).
