The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball felled the visiting Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX), 70-55 in Friday's league test.

The Mustangs (18-11) will now prepare for their test against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX). The Toros go into the 5A Region IV District 30 test with a 5-20 record.

The Lobos now own a 23-9 record. They play next when they travel to Juarez-Lincoln for a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, January 31.
