North Carolina High School Basketball - Swain County bested by Hayesville
January 28, 2025: Hayesville, NC 28904 Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 61-53 in a league match.
With the victory, Hayesville advances its record to 7-9 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC) to face the Bobcats in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 2-12. Blue Ridge Early College lost 43-27 in their recent league match against Highlands (Highlands, NC)
The Maroon Devils now own a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Murphy for a 1A Smoky Mountain match on Friday, January 31. Swain County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 60-55 league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-7.
