The Swain County Maroon Devils basketball team scored 69 points and limited the visiting Hiwassee Dam Eagles to 59 in the Maroon Devils non-league triumph on Friday.

The Maroon Devils now possess a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mitchell for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Hiwassee Dam falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC) to confront the Yellowjackets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Yellowjackets go into the game with a record of 2-7. Hayesville lost 91-69 in their recent non-league game against Polk County (Benton, TN)
