The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) and the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), observed Hayesville's basketball team knock off Swain County by a score of 56-43.

The Yellowjackets (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Braves come into the 1A Big Smoky challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Cherokee dropped by Cosby (Cosby, TN), 58-54, in a non-league challenge.
