The Western Branch Bruins basketball squad (Chesapeake, VA), was outscored 81-61 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA)

With the victory, Oscar Smith advances its record to 13-1 on the year. The Tigers host Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to meet the Warriors in a Southeastern battle on Thursday, January 30. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 11-3. Nansemond River won 80-55 in their recent league battle against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA)

The Bruins now own a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salem for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 30. Western Branch will meet a Sundevils squad coming off a 58-42 league loss to Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA). The Sundevils record now stands at 4-9.
