February 4, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23321 Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), 88-47 in a league match.
With the victory, Western Branch upgrades its record to 7-8 on the year. The Bruins host Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 5. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Deep Run won 49-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)
In their next game, the Hawks battle the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Friday, February 7. Hickory will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 73-63 league win over Lakeland (Suffolk, VA).
