In Tuesday's league outing, the Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX) basketball squad felled the visiting Covington Owls (Covington, TX), by a margin of 53-39.

The Yellowjackets (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Kopperl (Kopperl, TX). The Eagles go into the 1A Region III District 20 outing with a 3-12 record. In their last outing, Kopperl was beaten by Frost (Frost, TX), 49-18, in a non-league outing.
