New York High School Basketball - Akron nudges Medina

January 31, 2023: Medina, NY 14103

Akron Tigers (Akron, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Medina Mustangs (Medina, NY), 61-54 in a league game.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Barker Raiders (Barker, NY) in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans game, on Thursday, February 2. Akron will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Raiders enter the game with a 4-11 record after their 72-61 league loss to Albion (Albion, NY).

With the defeat, Medina moves to 3-12 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Christian Central Academy (Williamsville, NY) to face the Crusaders in a non-league game on Saturday, February 4. The Crusaders enter the game with a record of 8-6. Christian Central Academy lost 77-68 in their recent non-league game against Cardinal O'Hara (Tonawanda, NY)
