The Weslaco East Wildcats nipped the visiting Pace Vikings basketball squad by a final score of 47-41 in Tuesday's league outing.

Next, the Wildcats face the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 outing, on Friday, January 10. Weslaco East will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 12-15 record after their 56-49 league loss to Donna (Donna, TX).
