Texas High School Basketball - Weslaco East beaten by Mercedes

The Mercedes Tigers were victorious over the host Weslaco East Wildcats basketball squad by a final score of 41-33 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 outing, on Tuesday, December 10. Mercedes will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Cowboys enter the outing with a 3-12 record after their 45-10 league loss to Donna (Donna, TX).

The Wildcats (2-12) will now prepare for their outing against Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Hawks enter the 5A Region IV District 32 outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Harlingen South ran past Pace (Brownsville, TX), 73-31, in a league outing.
