October 3, 2022: McSherrystown, PA 17344 The crowd at Monday's league test between the Littlestown Thunderbolts (Littlestown, PA) and the host Delone Catholic Squires (McSherrystown, PA), saw Littlestown's soccer squad get by Delone Catholic by a count of 2-1.
The Thunderbolts now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to York Catholic for a York-Adams 4 test on Tuesday, October 4. Littlestown will meet a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 7-1 league loss to Biglerville (Biglerville, PA). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 10-2.

Game Summary
Squires hosted the Littlestown Bolts at Utz fields Monday evening in the sprinkling rain. All starters were healthy and playing. The Squires dominated possession but didn't make a lot happen early on and with 8 minutes left in the 2nd half, Van Schneider #7 crossed the ball from the right corner to Nolan Kruse #9 who tapped it to Angello Salazar #2 for the first score of the game. Six minutes later, the Bolts scored off a throw in in the offensive 1/3 of the field. They were tied up at the end of regulation and through the first overtime. In the 1st overtime a handball was not called on the Bolts in the box that could have set up a PK for the Squires. During the 2nd overtime, within a minute or so, a handball was called in the box against the Squires and the Bolts kicked the game-winning PK goal. This is the 9th game that has been decided by a PK for the Squires. Schneider #7 is the player of the game. He listened to Coach Austin's direction to take the ball to the corner.
