The Newton-Conover Red Devils volleyball squad (Newton, NC), was defeated 3-0 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Foard Tigers (Newton, NC)

With the win, Foard upgrades its record to 13-8 on the year. The Tigers host North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to meet the Knights in a Western Foothills 4A/5A challenge on Thursday, October 9. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 17-5. North Lincoln won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC)

Next, the Red Devils face the Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC) in a Western Foothills 4A/5A test, on Thursday, October 9. Newton-Conover will attempt to improve on its 2-19 season record. The Blue Devils go into the test with a 18-3 record after their 3-0 league win over East Lincoln (Denver, NC).
