Illinois High School Basketball - Wethersfield can't hold off Stark County
November 21, 2022: Kewanee, IL 61443 The Stark County Rebels basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Wethersfield Flying Geese to 39 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Monday.
The Rebels now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Annawan for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 22. Stark County will battle a Braves team coming off a 56-49 non-league loss to Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL). The Braves record now stands at 0-1.
The Flying Geese (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Putnam County (Granville, IL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Putnam County nudged Elmwood (Elmwood, IL), 58-38, in a non-league contest.
