The West Wilkes Blackhawks basketball team (Millers Creek, NC), was nudged 45-42 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC)

The Rams now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilkes Central for a non-league battle on Friday, December 1. Starmount will battle a Eagles team coming off a 71-61 non-league win over West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.

The Blackhawks (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Alleghany was nudged by Galax (Galax, VA), 61-34, in a non-league battle.
