In Friday's league match, the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles basketball team scored a tight 53-51 triumph over the Rocky River Ravens.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern match, on Tuesday, December 12. East Mecklenburg will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 0-7 record after their 88-50 league loss to Butler (Matthews, NC).
