In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Independence Tigers basketball team scored a big 71-31 triumph over the Sumner Cowboys.

The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Tornadoes go into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Hammond smashed Kentwood (Kentwood, LA), 77-31, in a non-league contest.
