In Friday's non-league contest, the host Howells-Dodge Jaguars basketball team scored a big 58-18 win over the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars.

The Jaguars (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Clarkson/Leigh (Clarkson, NE). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Clarkson/Leigh was trounced by West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE), 49-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs (Humphrey, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Lyons-Decatur Northeast will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 55-14 non-league win over Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE).
