Iowa High School Basketball - Mount Ayr fells East Union
February 2, 2024: Mount Ayr, IA 50854 Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting East Union Eagles (Afton, IA), 59-49 in a league bout.
With the win, Mount Ayr upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Raiders host Interstate 35 (Truro, IA) to play the Roadrunners in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Roadrunners go into the bout with a record of 2-14. Interstate 35 lost 71-33 in their recent league bout against Madrid (Madrid, IA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) in a Pride of Iowa bout, on Monday, February 5. East Union will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 77-56 league loss to Lenox (Lenox, IA).
