Iowa High School Basketball - Mount Ayr crushes Nodaway Valley
December 19, 2023: Greenfield, IA 50849 Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA), 81-40 in a league bout.
With the victory, Mount Ayr upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Raiders host Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA) to play the Blue Devils in a Pride of Iowa bout on Friday, January 5. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Martensdale-St. Mary's won 60-57 in their recent league bout against East Union (Afton, IA)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) in a Pride of Iowa bout, on Friday, January 5. Nodaway Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 47-32 non-league loss to Bedford (Bedford, IA).
