December 1, 2023: Mount Ayr, IA 50854 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) and the visiting Southwest Valley (Corning, IA), saw Mount Ayr's basketball squad hold off Southwest Valley by a tally of 60-54.
With the victory, Mount Ayr improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Raiders host Lenox (Lenox, IA) to play the Tigers in a Pride of Iowa challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Lenox lost 42-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Bedford (Bedford, IA)
Next up, the play the Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA) in a challenge, on Friday, December 8. Southwest Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
