Iowa High School Basketball - Mount Ayr fells Lenox
January 19, 2024: Lenox, IA 50851 Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lenox Tigers (Lenox, IA), 50-40 in a league bout.
With the win, Mount Ayr upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Raiders travel to Centerville (Centerville, IA) to play the Big Reds/Redettes in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Big Reds/Redettes go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Centerville won 68-64 in their recent non-league bout against Albia (Albia, IA)
Next up, the Tigers play the East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) in a Pride of Iowa bout, on Monday, January 22. Lenox will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 76-42 league loss to Central Decatur (Leon, IA).
