Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Side can't hold off Northgate
February 7, 2023: Pittsburgh, PA 15202 The Northgate Flames basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting South Side Rams to 55 in the Flames league triumph on Tuesday.
The Flames now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laurel for a WPIAL 2A 1 contest on Friday, February 10. Northgate will battle a Spartan team coming off a 64-25 league loss to Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA). The Spartan record now stands at 5-14.
The Rams (6-14) will now prepare for their contest against Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA). The enter the WPIAL 2A 1 contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Sewickley Academy was nudged by Shenango (New Castle, PA), 61-27, in a league contest.
