In Thursday's league contest, the host Corvian Community Cardinals basketball team scored a good 77-63 triumph over the Bradford Prep Bears.

The Cardinals (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Eagles go into the 1A/2A Catawba Shores contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Lincoln Charter topped Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC), 105-66, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bears confront the Langtree Charter Academy Lions (Mooresville, NC) in a 1A/2A Catawba Shores contest, on Friday, January 24.
