Connecticut High School Basketball - Staples can't hold off Stamford

The Stamford Black Knights basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Staples Wreckers to 60 in the Black Knights league triumph on Friday.

The Black Knights now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilton for a Fairfield County contest on Tuesday, January 24. Stamford will battle a Warriors team coming off a 70-67 league win over Trumbull (Trumbull, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 8-2.

The Wreckers (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Westhill (Stamford, CT). The Vikings enter the Fairfield County contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Westhill was nudged by Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT), 47-41, in a league contest.
