North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwest Cabarrus overwhelms Carson

February 9, 2024: China Grove, NC 28023

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) and the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), saw Northwest Cabarrus's basketball squad wallop Carson by a count of 73-15.

With the victory, Northwest Cabarrus upgrades its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to play the Falcons in a 3A South Piedmont challenge on Friday, February 16. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 20-1.

Next up, the Cougars play the East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Carson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-20 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 10-11 record after their 62-19 league loss to Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC).
